I love this simple chocolate syrup it works so well for all occasions – warm milk, hot chocolate, drizzle over vanilla ice cream, brownies, pancakes, waffles, and more. You get the idea, it is extremely versatile and absolutely delicious.
Delicious and nutrient-dense recipes don’t get much easier than this.
Simply Chocolate Syrup
- ¾ cup pure maple syrup
- 6 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- In a small bowl whisk together the maple syrup, cocoa, and vanilla extract until it forms a sauce or syrup-like consistency without any lumps. Keep in mind that it can take several minutes to come together.
- Store leftovers in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 1 week. Remember to stir before each use.
