Carrots are probably one of the most underrated vegetables out there.  It is their “hidden” health benefits are that really got to me.  They are truly amazing, with so many insane health benefits.

The fiber in carrots is helpful for aiding in the excretion of harmful bacteria in the gut.  This is valuable information because the standard for fibers to consume for health doesn’t have the same properties or compounds that you will find in the fiber of a carrot.

So what is the difference between the fiber of raw carrots and leafy greens or cruciferous vegetables? Carrots contain ant-fungal properties as well as a unique antimicrobial fiber that acts as a natural detoxifier by binding to toxins in the intestines.  This special fiber also aids the body in eliminating excess estrogen, which is probably the greatest benefit of eating raw carrots.

How does a raw carrot salad support health?

Hormonal Balance
Improving digestion with the help of the beneficial fiber of a raw carrot will, in turn, improve hormonal balance by aiding the body in binding to and eliminating excess estrogen in the gut – which tends to get recirculated through the intestinal walls if digestion is too slow.

So what is the problem with too much estrogen?

Too much estrogen circulating in the body can cause unpleasant (and somewhat harmful) side effects.  It can also increase your percentage of fat since estrogen gets stored in fat cells.

It is also important to note that excess estrogen can become quite a problem as we age because there is not enough progesterone to oppose the estrogen, which is actually a natural process when a women’s menstrual cycle has come to an end.

The problem then? When you age your body naturally produces less progesterone to oppose estrogen, and the excess estrogen gets recirculated through the gut especially if your digestion is already compromised.

If this becomes the norm, and the estrogen gets recirculated without being eliminated you end up with all the unpleasant (and dreaded) PMS, menopause symptoms, thyroid issues, and slow digestion.  This all leads to a sluggish or slower metabolism with more fat storage and less muscle growth.

This is the familiar midlife crisis that most women dread.

Liver support
it is all about liver support.  The liver is such a large and versatile organ, with so many functions, so pay close attention to its wellbeing.

The thing is, if you support your liver well, many other organs and systems will function well as a result.

So a simple raw carrot salad a day can assist the liver and GI tract in detoxification and elimination of endotoxins and excess estrogen.  This alone will improve metabolic function.

Did you know that about 70% o hormonal conversion actually happens in the liver? This means that the liver is the gateway to hormonal balance and efficient energy production.

This is why it is super important to super the liver with real food in such a way, that it will aid the liver in function and overburden the liver.  When the liver is overburdened it will have a hard time keeping up with the demand for detoxification and hormone conversion,

If you struggle with any type o bacterial overgrowth, thyroid disorders, digestive distress, severe PMS symptoms, menopausal symptoms, inflammation, autoimmune disease, or just have a lack of sufficient energy – a simple raw carrot salad might be just the thing you need.

Hi, you can shred the carrots ahead of time and put them in a glass dish with clean water. It should last 3-5 days. I suggest that when you scoop out some shredded carrots you replace the water with fresh water. You’ll have to experiment with what works for your schedule.
