Pineapple is rich in bromelain, a wonderful anti-inflammatory enzyme.  It is great for reducing pain and combatting infection which will speed up recovery.

Lemon is an all-time favorite here because it is so versatile.  In this case, it is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants which both play a vital role in fighting infection.

Raw honey is great for coating the throat.  It is a superfood rich in antioxidants, minerals, enzymes, and don’t forget its antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties.

Ginger is also a winner for combating infections due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
