As I have mentioned, I am a huge fan of warm and comforting drinks – especially in the early morning or late afternoon when I try to finish most of my work. I am not a big coffee drinker, so having little warm treats (in forms other than tea) has become a favorite pastime. This golden milk is one of my favorite drinks, with many fabulous health benefits. Don’t worry; I will show you how to make golden milk at home.

You might be thinking, what is golden milk?

It is a simple nutrient powerhouse of a warm cozy drink filled with ancestral herbal blends and nutrient wisdom.

Traditional Ayurvedic medicines have been using turmeric as a powerful herb for a long time! Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant due to the curcuminoid chemical compound. It can be very helpful in supporting the liver in flushing out toxins and calming inflammation. Turmeric is a fabulous herb to add to your daily routine that encourages natural detoxification.

Ginger is the second superhero in this recipe. It is fantastic for digestion and awakening the taste buds to start producing those digestive juices.

I love this recipe because the ingredients are so simple. We all have most (if not all of them) already in our kitchen – but if you find yourself in a pinch or traveling, this is an excellent powdered version that you can mix into some raw milk.

Happy sipping!
