The saying goes, “if you have a pulse, you have a parasite.” Parasites and disease go hand in hand, and they can be responsible for a whole array of uncomfortable symptoms.
So parasite infestation is on the rise, and not only are they an inconvenient truth, they are actually one the most unrecognized and neglected diseases of our time.
The truth is, there is really not any form of accurate testing, so it is kind of pointless to use any sort of GI-Map or stool test for assessing for infestation.
What is a parasite?
According to Dr. Hulda Clark, “A parasite is a tiny organism that lives on or in another host organism and is fed at the expense of its host. In other words, the parasites that live inside us use up our vitamins, proteins, and all other nutrients. Not only do they do this, but they also do their “business” inside us releasing their toxic bacteria and viruses inside us.”
Parasites are commonly found in the digestive tract, mainly the intestines, but this doesn’t mean that they can’t be found elsewhere in the body. The fact is any part of the body is very vulnerable to infections: the lungs, kidneys, brain, blood, liver, joints, and even the eyes.
Does everyone have parasites?
Yes, yes they do. Almost every single person currently living on planet earth has parasites. The goal is not necessarily to completely eradicate them, because we will always be exposed, but simply keep them in check, so they don’t have a stronghold to throw the body off balance.
Parasites are kind of a part of life now, almost like bacteria on every single surface that we touch.
North Americans suffer from just as many parasite infections as those from less developed countries, the tragedy is simply that more developed countries are less aware of the connection to overall health and symptoms.
Parasites grow and reproduce in our bodies (we are their hosts after all) but how well they will thrive completely depends on our overall health, and the terrain of the body.
They don’t thrive in metabolically healthy bodies, and in bodies that routinely partake in parasite cleansing, simply for maintenance.
In general, it is the more unhealthy animals and humans that are more vulnerable to having the most parasites.
It is all a vicious cycle – poor eating habits and poor health makes the body and immune more susceptible to parasitic infection, while parasites simultaneously cause poor health and a whole array of different symptoms.
Parasites are even known to live inside of each other. They contain all their own bacteria and viruses – and the bacteria themselves even contain viruses. It is a whole little ecosystem all on its own, and even if you are eating well to help heal disease, it is still imperative to take care of parasites first, so that you can actually absorb important nutrients from your food.
Some symptoms caused by parasites?
What makes things a little tricky is that a lot of symptoms for parasites can actually overlap symptoms of certain diseases, like candida or viral infections. I know it feels that oftentimes we read articles online pertaining to health, and we can identify with a number of the symptoms. This is simply because once the body becomes diseased and starts to deteriorate due to toxicity the symptoms present themselves in very similar ways.
Here is a little list of the most common symptoms caused by parasites:
♦ constipation
♦ constipation diarrhea
♦ excessive gas and bloating
♦ anus itching
♦ irritable bowel syndrome
♦ joint and muscle aches
♦ anemia
♦ uncontrollable cravings
♦ allergies
♦ skin conditions – eczema, hives, rashes
♦ chronic fatigue
♦ teeth grinding
♦ brain fog
♦ anxiety
♦ sleep disorders
♦ weight gain, or the inability to lose weight
♦ blisters on the lower lip or inside of the mouth
♦ dark circles or areas under the eyes
♦ yeast or candida infections
So how do we get parasites?
Studies results from the University of Maryland, as well as the CDC, have shown that parasites can live in their human host’s intestines for years before causing any symptoms. It is said that children and institutional care centers can possibly be the cause for parasites – this means all schools, daycares, hospitals, doctors’ offices can be a hot spot. Children are especially suspectable, and so is anyone who has ever been in contact with any of these institutions.
Parasites are incredibly contagious, and therefore a part of life.
You can also get parasites from swimming in lakes, rivers, or creeks or even walking barefoot outside. You can also get them from eating unwashed fruits and vegetables, there are microscopic parasites on all plants, so wash them well – but even then you’ll probably still be exposed. Next, you can get parasites from meat, especially raw or undercooked meats. Then you can get parasites from other people – simply by touching them or coming in contact with their body fluids. Lastly, you really get parasites from living with animals or pets – especially when they lick your face or sleep in your bed.
In short, parasites are everywhere, and pretty much unavoidable. Doing a parasite cleanse a couple of times a year, and supporting your immune system will be the new name of the game.
Why don’t developed countries (I am looking at you USA) do routine parasite cleansing?
The interesting thing is most native cultures realize and know that the human body is plagued by parasites. These cultures ranging from the Arctic to Antarctica routinely purged themselves by inducing vomiting or diarrhea to rid themselves of these invaders. Even the Amish take the time to deworm themselves, their children, and their animals.
I always think that a lot of people tend to de-worm their animals every six months, but never apply this to themselves or their children, even though they all live in close proximity?
But for some reason developed countries pride themselves in being “clean,” and in the end, this sort of thinking will contribute to a whole array of health problems down the road.
So how do we rid ourselves of them?
The sad thing is that are parasites in our food system, and you cannot be truly healthy with these stowaways creating an imbalance in the body.
If you are intentionally nourishing your body with real whole food, removing parasites and their die-off symptoms can greatly improve your overall health and wellbeing.
Before embarking on a parasite cleanse it is important to spend some time ensuring that your drainage pathways are open and moving – this is essential to eliminate parasites effectively with their die-off toxic sludge.
My favorite way to tackle parasites is using CellCore Bioscience 4-Month Foundational protocol in conjunction with a couple of full moon parasite cleanses. *instructions for ordering Cellcore supplements will be at the bottom of this post.
Why is the full moon relevant?
“Have you ever noticed that you feel differently at different times? It’s not just you. Everything in nature has cycles. The seasons are just one example. And within those cycles are more cycles, like days, weeks, and months. And of course, the cycle of the full moon.
These cycles play a huge role in our health because they influence our bodies’ levels of neurotransmitters.
Melatonin is one. It plays an important role in the body, by fighting off critters so when your melatonin levels are down, critters take advantage.
Serotonin is another. It’s a “feel-good” neurotransmitter. But it works for critters, too. When you have less serotonin, critters are paralyzed.
You can see why the moon cycle is so important for your overall health and why it’s the perfect time to evict those nasty critters from your body” {source – Cellcore Bioscience website.}
What to expect?
Intestinal parasites only come out dead, so don’t worry about worms squirming around in the toilet. They, however, don’t leave quietly – when they die off from the herbs in the supplements they tend to realize an ammonia-based toxic sludge with a side of viruses, bacteria, candida, heavy metals, Lyme, and co-infections, and even mold. This is the reason that some experience Herxheimer reactions (also known as detox symptoms.) This can look like headaches, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, flu-like symptoms, or even general malaise.
This is why it is essential to take binders and ensure that all drainage pathways are open and functioning properly.
Neither I nor any of my clients so far have experienced any of these side effects.
How to get the most from your parasite cleanse?
Eat a nutrient-dense diet
Eat lots of fresh vegetables, raw salads, and properly prepared nutrient-dense foods. Avoid all processed foods, artificial sweeteners.
Increase parasite killing foods
Think of things like garlic, sprouted pumpkin seeds, pineapple, papaya seeds, dried figs, cucumber seeds, and oregano.
Drink plenty of clean water
Keeping your body hydrated with clean filtered water and minerals will help to support the kidneys in flushing out toxins more effectively.
Consider coffee enemas
Coffee enemas may seem very intimidating, but they can be game-changer when it comes to parasite cleanings, and flushing them out more quickly. You can learn more about coffee enemas here.
Sweat
An infrared sauna is such a great healing tool. The infrared rays penetrate deep into the skin providing soft heat that helps drive out stored toxins from the cells into the sweat glands and bloodstream. The body is then able to excrete and eliminate these toxins via sweat.
What to after your parasite cleanse?
After completing your parasite cleanse – it is important to continue to eat a properly prepared whole foods diet. I also recommend taking a good quality probiotic to replenish and encourage the proliferation of the friendly gut bacteria in the gut. I like using CT-Spore from CellCore.
I also encourage you to really focus on improving and maintaining great digestion, as this is the first line of defense.
How often should you parasite cleanse?
It is recommended to complete a full moon parasite cleanse every six months after the initial foundational protocol for maintenance.
Again the key is not to be afraid of living or becoming obsessed with eradicating them, but to simply be aware of them and to prevent them from completely taking over and causing imbalances within the body.
