Let’s face it stress is (and probably always will be) a part of life, thanks to modern living!  It is often easy to breathe and release, and extra help is needed at other times.  Therefore, essential oils for stress can be an excellent tool in your holistic toolbox.  Don’t worry.  This little guide will show you precisely what oils to use and how to use them.

Essential oils have become a game-changer for our family for various reasons, including combating and managing stress.  I get stressed out easily and have always had difficulty managing it healthily.  Of course, using essential oils for stress has been the subtle shift I needed.

I am always intrigued by all the studies on essential oils, simply because many people look at essential oils as “whoo-whoo.” The Vanderbilt University Hospital has been diffusing essential oils in the ER.  They found that these oils greatly helped the doctor’s feelings of stress and frustration.  There are also some other studies about the use of essential oils in acute care settings and the modern healing role of essential oils.

If you aren’t using essential oils to reduce stress and anxiety, I will encourage you to try it – it is worth a shot.  It is simple, easy, and relatively inexpensive if you start slowly.

Here are ten ways to use essential oils to reduce stress

1.  Diffuse five drops of each of Ylang-Ylang and Wild Orange.

2.  Use this Calmer blend on your feet before bed at night.

3.  Rub two drops of Balance on your shoulders and neck.

4.  Rub two drops of Adaptiv on your shoulders and neck.

5.  Place two drops of Zendocrine over the liver each morning and evening.

6.  Dilute five drops of Lavender in 1 tablespoon of carrier oil in a warm bath, add 2 cups of Epsom salts, and soak.

7.  Diffuse 3-5 drops of citrus oils, such as Wild OrangeLemon, or Citrus Bliss.

8.  Rub one drop of each Elevation and Clary Calm on your neck and shoulders.

9.  Diffuse two drops each of Grapefruit and Bergamot.

10.  Rub one drop each of Serenity and Lavender on your feet

Essential oils are a simple but effective way to use a more natural modality to support health and emotional well-being.  Even though I love essential oils, I always caution people that they are not a magic bullet and are most effective alongside a nutrient-dense diet and holistically minded lifestyle.
